Ebru Kocak is one of only a few artists working in the traditional artform of marbling. In 2023, Kocak was the Artist in Residence at Petersfield Museum and Art Gallery. Inspired by the floral patterns, distinctive shapes, and woven fabrics in the Fashion and Textiles Collection, Kocak created Now (2023), marbling onto silk and viscose fabrics.
This artwork was displayed alongside the items that inspired the work, including a 18th-century dress made from Spitalfields silk.
