Edward Thomas

2017 marks the centenary of the death of Edward Thomas, a poet of international renown who produced his most celebrated work while living in Steep.

We will be commemorating Edward Thomas through a number of different events and a temporary exhibition this year. We will also be introducing our Edward Thomas Study Centre.

Come back on 4 April 2017 to find out more or contact us education@petersfieldmuseum.co.uk for more information.

Inspired by the Word

From Tuesday 4 April to Saturday 22 April, Petersfield Museum will be a part of the Hampshire wide project, 'Inspired by the Word', where in this commemorative year of Hampshire writers, Edward Thomas and Jane Austen, artists across the county have taken inspiration from their work to create pieces of art. We are excited to have four of the artists, who responded to Edward Thomas' work, exhibiting with us at the Museum.

Come back on 4 April 2017 to find out more or contact us education@petersfieldmuseum.co.uk for more information.
