Gone but not Forgotten
This unique dance event saw local schools and community groups work together to create a commemorative dance and music event in Petersfield Square that told the stories of those who lived and died during the First World War in a new and innovative way.
Understanding through Access
Allowed the production of new and improved resources for schools including a series of loans boxes, workshops and events based on the museum’s collections, the history of Petersfield and the South Downs National Park.
Waitrose Community Matters
We received funds to help care for the museums extensive collections and for the development of future exhibitions as well as the continuation of the museums education and outreach activities for the local community.
People of the Heath
Since summer 2014 two archaeologists have led a project to uncover the history of the Bronze Age burial place on Petersfield Heath with the support of numerous volunteers from the local community. Assessing, conserving and enjoying the Bedales Costume Collection
This project allowed us to assess a large part of our collection of historic dress with regards to its condition and historic significance and to increase the long-term conservation of the collection through preventive conservation.
