Seasonal Festivities
With the holiday season quickly approaching, check out our festive events! Enjoy a traditional theatre performance of A Christmas Carol, fun for under 5s with our Toddler Takeover X: Santa's Crazy Christmas, or festivities for the whole family with the Festive Family Fun Day!
Exhibitions and Artist-Led Workshops
We have a range of temporary exhibitions beginning with the opening of Sarah Butterfield: Dawn and Dusk in the Solent rounding up our 2023 exhibition season. We have an exciting array of exhibitions for 2024, beginning with Exploring Pattern: An Artist's Response to the Fashion and Textile Collection with Ebru Kocak and Life Through a Lens from the Photography Collection. We also look forward to the opening of Katharine Swailes and Caron Penney: The Language of Weaving in Spring 2024. Accompanying our exhibitions will be a lineup of artist-led workshops, artist talks, and family events inspired by the exhibitions.
Family-Friendly Fun for Everyone
Explore our curated events for families of all ages and sizes to enjoy the Museum and Art gallery. Under 5s can enjoy monthly Mischief Makers to explore our spaces! Our Family Events cater to encouraging creativity inspired by exhibitions and to create lasting memories. There are events and activities for everyone in the family to enjoy!
Live Music and Theatre
Experience one of our live music or theatre events hosted in our Victorian courthouse with our fully license bar in the Coffee Shop. We have a full lineup of music events that range from indie, folk, and country genres! Enjoy a range of theatre, from re-tellings of classics to sharing infamous people and stories of times gone by.
