Two superb riding outfits from the early twentieth century are on display from our Fashion and Textiles Collection: a beautifully tailored women’s habit for riding side saddle (aside) and a styled woman’s jacket and breeches for riding either aside, with an apron skirt, or cross saddle (astride). Together, they demonstrate changes in fashion and attitudes in the equestrian world.

We are also proud to display Artemis, 2024, a recent bronze sculpture by prominent artist Holly Hickmore. Hickmore is based in West Meon, Hampshire, and her love of the countryside equals her passion for sculpture. Her horse sculptures are renowned for capturing the spirit of power and movement.
