Are you passionate about drawing and painting but find portraits challenging? Join artist Livvy Stainer, who brings over 35 years of experience in portraiture and figure drawing, for an inspiring 4-week course designed to transform your skills.

You’ll work from photos and occasionally a live model, diving deep into the art of portraiture and figure drawing and painting.

Materials

Livvy will use pencil, charcoal, and colour pastels during the sessions, but feel free to bring your favorite medium and work in colour or monochrome.

Suggested supplies
  • Drawing tools: HB, 4B, and 8B graphite pencils, willow charcoal sticks, putty eraser
  • Paper: Cartridge paper and toned pastel paper
  • Optional pastels: Conte à Carre Colour Pastels 'Portrait Set'

Basic art materials will be provided by the museum if you're still deciding what to bring!
