Petersfield Museum and Art Gallery is delighted to announce its third consecutive win in the Arts & Entertainment category for the 2024 Petersfield Awards. This recognition reflects our commitment to bringing engaging exhibitions and a vibrant programme of events to our community and visitors. We are also honoured to have received a commendation for Event of the Year, in recognition of the outstanding success of our summer exhibition, Peggy Guggenheim: Petersfield to Palazzo.
The Petersfield Awards are a community-driven celebration, spotlighting local businesses and organisations in Petersfield. The 2024 Awards received an overwhelming response, with over 5,000 participants casting 40,000 votes across more than 20 categories. This year, Petersfield Museum and Art Gallery was nominated in two categories: Arts & Entertainment and Event of the Year.
Our win in the Arts & Entertainment category, for the third consecutive year, highlights the Museum and Art Gallery’s record-breaking summer exhibition, as well as our associated events, including live music, theatre and family event programme.
For the past 25 years, Petersfield Museum and Art Gallery has served as a vibrant cultural hub, offering exciting exhibitions, captivating collections and a year-round programme that invites audiences of all ages to explore our galleries and spaces. From live concerts and theatre performances in our historic courthouse, to open-air events in our courtyard, art workshops, and our Under-5s programme, we strive to make art and history accessible and engaging for everyone.
Winning the Arts & Entertainment Award in our 25th anniversary year is a special milestone, underscoring our ongoing mission to share Petersfield’s heritage, collections, stories and events with our community. We look forward to another 25 years of serving Petersfield with outstanding programmes and experiences.
