Join us in celebrating the life and work of Edward Thomas at the Edward Thomas Literary Festival 2024.

Take part in this writing workshop with Yvonne Reddick all about the poetry of birds! From robins to lyrebirds, poets are fascinated by birds and birdsong. We’ll read some classics by Edward Thomas and some contemporary poets, and think about how we can use birdsong to shape our own poems.

We’ll head out for a short walk to the Physic Garden, and see if we can spot any birds. We’ll use what we’ve observed, and our imaginations, to help our poems take wing!

This workshop involves a short walk, so please dress for the weather and bring comfortable shoes.
